WCNY’s popular “Movie and a Cookie’’ presents a screening of “Follow that Bird” at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Red House Arts Center, 201 South West St. in Syracuse.
The family-friendly “Movie and a Cookie” features a favorite children’s movie, free cookies, a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog and activities for children. The doors open at 1:30 p.m.; shows start at 2 p.m.
In “Follow that Bird,” Oscar, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster and other members of the Sesame Street gang join Big Bird in a cross country adventure. Miss Finch, a meddling social worker, sends him off to Ocean View, Ill., for the comforts of family life with his “own kind,” the Dodos. But he is a disaster as a Dodo and, lonely and homesick, he soon sets off on foot for Sesame Street. Can his old friends find him before he runs “afowl” of trouble en route?
Tickets for “Movie and a Cookie” are $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 6 to 14, and children under the age of 5 are free. To purchase tickets, visit www.wcny.org/events or call (315) 453-2424. Tickets will be available for purchase up until the day before the screening. Tickets also can be purchased at the Red House. Seating is limited.
