WCNY, Central New York’s community-owned flagship public broadcaster, will partner with Symphoria, the Orchestra of Central New York, to broadcast previous Symphoria performances on the Classic FM radio station, as part of Classic FM’s symphony series. Each show will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m., with an encore Saturdays at 6 p.m. The programs will continue airing until public gatherings are permitted. Classic FM is available on 91.3 in Syracuse, 89.5 in Utica/Rome and 90.9 in Watertown, the North Country region, and Kingston area, or online at wcny.org, and via the TuneIn App.
“Classic FM is pleased to be able to partner with Symphoria to give Classical music lovers access to this valuable cultural resource,” said John Craddock, WCNY senior director of radio operations. “We are in a particularly trying time for performing arts organizations, but it’s a time when we need them most. We will keep that spirit alive on the radio until we can once again gather for live performances.”
