WCNY announces staff appointments, promotions

WCNY, Central New York’s community-owned flagship public broadcaster announces the following appointments and promotions:
Appointments
Lauren Easton, of Syracuse, N.Y., was appointed events specialist. She brings five years of experience to WCNY. Prior to joining WCNY, Easton served as the banquet sales manager at Pascale Companies. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University.
Clara Choi, of Manlius, N.Y., was appointed multimedia graphic designer and communications coordinator. She brings nine years of experience to WCNY. Prior to joining WCNY, Choi was Visiting Professor, at the State University of New York-ESF. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from Duksung University, and a master’s degree in Graphic Design from University of Florida.
Bruce Fritzen, of Solvay, N.Y., was appointed IT & systems support specialist. He brings 15 years of experience to WCNY. Prior to joining WCNY, Fritzen was a data specialist & client administrator at PatronManager and global product specialist at Tickets.com.
Promotions
Haley Dubnoff, of Fayetteville, N.Y., was promoted to senior director, marketing, communications, & creative services. Dubnoff joined WCNY in 2013. Prior to joining WCNY she held communications and public relations positions at the United Way of Central New York and Loretto. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Tanner Pechin, of Brewerton N.Y., was promoted to senior studio supervisor. He joined WCNY in 2014. Prior to joining WCNY, Pechin was a production assistant at Otto Media. He earned a bachelor’s degree in cinema studies with a minor in screenwriting from the State University of New York at Purchase.
Douglas Moreau, of Sauquoit, N.Y., was promoted to senior director, TV Production. He joined WCNY in 2006. Prior to joining WCNY, Moreau was a producer/director at WTVI, Charlotte’s public television station and a director at the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, Fla. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Cortland.
