‘Shimmering Light: The Crane Candlelight Concert’ airs Sunday on WCNY

The Crane Chorus and the Crane Symphony Orchestra come together to present a very special Holiday concert.
Conducted by Jeffrey Francom and Ching-Chun Lai, and featuring over 300 carolers and musicians from the renowned Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam, the concert includes traditional Christmas and seasonal hymns along with popular favorites.
This year features the intensive orchestral piece El Sombrero de Tres Picos (Three Cornered Hat); the U.S. premiere of Flame, written by Ben Parry; and a fun, enthusiastic rendition of A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Airs Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. on WCNY.
