Here we are, poised at the cusp, ready to mark the end of 2023 and look forward to the new year.  It’s always a moment that makes me pause, not just in anticipation of the new year, but to consider what makes that transition noteworthy.  After all, in the words of Barry Manilow, “it’s just a night like all the rest.”  But it is a transition.  So let’s step off into 2024 with a peek at some of the music and events we can look forward to celebrating women in classical music.
