Professor Fought is the author of several books including, “Women in the World of Frederick Douglass.” Her newest book, “Sally Hemmings: Given Her Time,” came out in July. The discussion centers on Frederick Douglass, the women that made him; Sally Hemmings, Jefferson, and complex issues of race and gender.
