About
WCNY is participating in RE:DREAM, a unique digital project that explores what it means to be successful in 21st century America, how people define success, and how they make their dreams come true. The nationwide project is led by by Kansas City Public Television, is produced by 15 PBS member stations including WCNY. KCPT is overseeing the production of 40 short documentary portraits of average Americans from five different cities who share their hopes and dreams. The documentaries spotlight issues of race, gender, geography, sexuality, and economics that may impact the ability of people to succeed. They are designed to trigger reflection and discussion about the American Dream today.
Each weekday, until April 22, KCPT will release one of the micro-documentaries. Click on an image below to watch a specific micro-documentary or visit redreamproject.org.
