Our New Neighbors, Episode 9 – The War in Sudan

The latest war in the Republic of Sudan broke out just this past April, but has already resulted in a horrific human toll. Many refugees from previous conflicts in that country have re-settled in Central New York over the past decades. In this edition of Our New Neighbors, WCNY’s Ron Lombard and co-host Maryna Bagovska talk with three Sudanese immigrants to help raise awareness of what’s happening in that African country. Fatna Mohamed, Haway Adam-Jbrine, and Mohamedin Adam share their personal stories and discuss the horrors civilians in their home country are now facing.
Fatna Mohamed has established this GoFundMe page to help raise money to benefit the Sudan War refugees.
