Barry Torres, music director of Schola Cantorum of Syracuse, stopped into the studios today to tell us about the two upcoming performances of Brahms’ German Requiem. The next two Sundays bring the singers together first with piano, then with organ, to perform this work in the form it was most often heard in Brahms’ day. Barry also talked about the connections and legacy of Brahms, and gave us a hint about the upcoming 50th anniversary season with Schola.
