CNY Heroes, Episode 23 – Navy National Defense Cadet Corps

Dave Sturgeon, a Marine veteran, is the instructor for the Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) at PSLA at Fowler High School in Syracuse. NNDCC’s purpose is to instill the values of leadership, citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. The program introduces students to opportunities in military, national and public service. In this edition of CNY Heroes, Dan Cummings introduces us to Dave and two of his cadets: Cadet Lt Junior Grade Natailya Gallipeau (commanding officer) and Cadet Seaman Isis Davis.
