This month, host Dan Cummings continues his conversation with retired Army Colonel Blaine Fleming, who served as a helicopter pilot and operations officer in Vietnam. Fleming talks more about his your of duty, and what life was like following the war. Col. Fleming’s unit participated in a major battle that became the subject of the 1992 book, “We Were Soldiers Once and Young,” adapted 10 years later into a major motion picture starring Mel Gibson.
