People who experience severe physical trauma or burns also need significant help coping with that trauma. Dr. Kathryn Hagen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who leads SUNY-Upstate’s team providing intervention and assessment of the mental condition of medically complex patients. In this edition of Checkup from the Neck-up, Dr. Hagen and host Dr. Rich O’Neill talk about how Upstate has provided those services to pediatric patients for many years, and how they are now expanding the program to adult patients.
