Syracuse University Professor-emeritus Lawrence Mason enjoyed an illustrious career as a photographer and teacher of visual media. He taught thousands of students at the Newhouse School. In this episode of Central Current Radio, Mason tells host Dr. Rick Wright about some of his most memorable photography assignments, and about his decades of trips to Lockerbie, Scotland, site of the 1988 downing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 35 SU students. Mason is the co-author of “Looking for Lockerbie,” considered the definitive book about the lasting impact of the terrorist act on that small Scottish town.
