  Get ready – the dinosaurs are coming to Syracuse!  This weekend, the Syracuse Orchestra presents Jurassic Park in concert.  Principal Pops Conductor Sean O’Loughlin leads the orchestra in a live performance of the John Williams score, and a showing of the complete film.  Sean and violinist Sonya Stith-Williams came to the studios to talk about the concert, the joys – and challenges – of playing a full score live, and gave us a peek at the summer concerts and 2024-25 season of The Syracuse Orchestra.     More information on the Syracuse Orchestra website.

WCNY, Central New York’s public communications organization, is teaming up with Spatchcock Funk to throw the ultimate party, Smoke-a-Palooza, taking place on Friday, June 21 from 6-10 p.m. at Heritage Hill Brewhouse. The event features meet-and-greets with the Spatchcock squad, unlimited beers and seltzers, appetizers, BBQ dinner stations, dessert, cigars, flash tattoos, and live music from the legendary national band, Sophistafunk. Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner stations opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $99/ticket until June 3, after which they will be priced
