‘Behind the Woman’ Season 4 Premieres May 16 on WCNY-TV

Strathmore Speaker Series – Jeff Megivern on the Mars Rover Mission

Community FM is very pleased to have another new partnership, with the Strathmore Speaker Series. For the past 10 years, the SSS has provided more than 50 free talks to the Central New York community. Its mission is to present experts from a broad variety of fields to share their knowledge to inform and inspire. Today’s speaker is Jeff Megivern who works for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) at NASA in California. He discussed the 2020 Mars Perseverance Rover mission. The talk is facilitated by Scott Lipkowitz, Digital Services & Technology Librarian at Onondaga Free Library.

Public Media Stations Across NYS Launch New Initiative for Older Adults Experiencing Social Isolation

WCNY Explores Toxic Algae Outbreaks Across the Finger Lakes Region in New Documentary

CNY Heroes, Episode 6 – Vietnam Veteran Glynn English

Glynn English is one of the 80 local veterans who flew Honor Flight Syracuse Mission 18 to Washington on Saturday, April 22. The Jordan, NY resident volunteered to serve in the Marine Corps from 1966-70 and the Army from 1971 until his military retirement in 1987. He saw action during both of his tours in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts. Listen as he shares his compelling story with CNY Heroes host Dan Cummings.
