    In time for the holiday season, and a great way to experience opera for all ages, Syracuse Opera will be presenting Giancarlo Menotti’s “Amahl and The Night Visitors” on Friday evening, December 16th.  Originally composed as a children’s opera for television broadcast, this production includes a new face to the company – guest conductor Lindsay Kate Brown.  Lindsay, along with Christian Capocaccia and John Rozzoni from Syracuse Opera and Tri-Cities Opera, stopped into the studio for a fun and joy-filled conversation about the opera, as well as the expanding opportunities for artists to come to the region to

WCNY’s ‘Impact Giveback Program, Part 2’ Premieres Nov. 28 on WCNY-TV

WCNY’s, Central New York’s community-owned public broadcaster, television series “Impact Giveback Program” returns with three follow-up episodes on Monday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. on WCNY-TV. The show celebrates local businesses across Central New York that demonstrated resilience while facing the challenges of COVID-19. Last year, in partnership with Ithaca College, WCNY selected 60 businesses across the region to participate in video production, digital marketing, print advertising, and more to support business efforts to revive and thrive in a post-pandemic economy. The 60 businesses were also featured in the “Impact Giveback Program” three-part series, which aired last fall on WCNY-TV.

CNY Heroes, Premiere Episode – Veterans Legal Clinic at Syracuse University

CNY Heroes is a new program that takes an in depth look at issues impacting our veterans, including the thousands of vets who call Central New York home. In this premiere episode, host Dan Cummings talks with Beth Kubala, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, who is now Executive Director of the Veterans Legal Clinic at the Syracuse University College of Law. They discuss services available to vets through that program.
