WCNY’s 10th Annual Taste of Fame Fundraising Event

WCNY, Central New York’s public communications organization, will host its 10th annual Taste of Fame culinary fundraiser featuring Chef Tiffany Derry. Chef Derry is most recently recognized for her role as one of Bobby Flay’s Titans on Food Network’s “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” as a judge on PBS’ “The Great American Recipe,” and as co-host of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America,” among other notable achievements. The event will be held at Drumlins Country Club (800 Nottingham Rd, Syracuse), Friday, September 20.

Guests will enjoy a three-course culinary dinner journey with recipes crafted by Tiffany, along with stories to accompany each course. The event kicks off with cocktail hour and a silent auction at 6 p.m., with the three-course dinner following at 7 p.m.

The VIP ticket includes all the benefits of a dinner ticket, plus a meet-and-greet/screening event at Drumlins Country Club, prior to the three-course dinner. Following the VIP event, guests are invited for cocktails at 6 p.m. in the ballroom, and the dinner experience begins at 7 p.m. Charlie Miller, a local food enthusiast and journalist for syracuse.com, will serve as the emcee for the VIP event and three-course dinner.

“Chef Derry’s remarkable talent and dynamic presence, showcased through her work on television and in the culinary world, promise to make this year’s event truly memorable,” said Mitch Gelman, President and CEO of WCNY. “Taste of Fame is an important fundraiser for WCNY, and the funds raised by ticket sales help further our mission and commitment to improving education, creating economic opportunities, and enhancing quality of life by telling our stories, serving our communities, and encouraging appreciation for diversity, partnership, and learning.”
